The satin chemise in our main photos below are the Classified Sunburst Sweet Dreams Chemise, sadly discontinued. However, while we were considering options for buying something similar, we narrowed down our selection to the following three.
- Lovehoney Lace-Up Satin Chemise Ivory
- Lovehoney Satin and Lace Plum Babydoll Set
- Dreamgirl White Satin and Lace Plunge Chemise
It wasn't an easy decision and we'll reveal our thought process, but to build just a little anticipation we'll reveal our choice (or will that be choices?) at the end of the article!
On warm summer nights the feel of cool satin against your skin is wonderful, but whilst you might be chilled, the hubby is guaranteed to be getting hot under the collar! I felt as if the Lovehoney Lace-Up Satin Chemise Ivory was the closest to a direct replacement for our discontinued item. It's extremely similar from the front, but you have the addition of some nicely teasing lace-up details at the back.
I like to keep it racy by choosing a fairly short length and "just barely covering my bum" is about the optimum length for me! The Lovehoney Satin and Lace Plum Babydoll Set fits the bill on that score and I love the sexy lace details that draw (even more!) attention to your cleavage, and there's the lovely little flash of lace at your hips.

The colours are really beautiful too, although I do enjoy the pure simplicity of white and ivory.
Finally there is the Dreamgirl White Satin and Lace Plunge Chemise with it's sea of revealing lace around your bust and tummy. Simply beautiful, although admittedly the priciest of the set. The back is almost completely open, with the doubled shoulder straps forming an X shape. From every angle it's very naughty!
And so finally it came to decision time: which would you choose?! ;-)
