A couple of weeks ago I purchased this mini-dress, over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, while looking for something that would be a little different from my more usual choices of babydolls and chemises.
The colour is a crimson/red lace, very clingy and feels almost silky on your skin. The hubby loved the soft feel and texture of the lace, and it certainly hugs every curve. I'm always a little concerned by sweeping size ranges in these one-size items, described as 8-16, but I'm very happy with the fit.
We featured a similar stretchy mini-dress in this spankingly fun image for: Sinful Sunday 337. Beautiful combo of an improvised birch applied just below the hem of a Floral Lace Cut-Out Chemise.
For perspective, I'm typically a size 8-10 and around 5'6". What I did find is that the hem of the mini dress tends to ride up and reveal the lower half of my bum. My other half is delighted by this effect (hmm, I wonder why!) but it's probably worth highlighting, just in case you're looking for something a little longer. Or, if you're a few inches taller than me, you may find it's riding up a bit too much.
The only criticism I have is that the accompanying g-string is far too big. In fairness to Lovehoney, it's probably unavoidable at the smaller end of this 8-16 size range, as a pair of panties isn't likely to accommodate that range. I quickly substituted in one of my favourites; red lace boy-shorts, in a more flattering fit.
The mini-dress itself is so fine and stretchy that I'd feel far more confident about it's claims on being one-size, 8-16.
Overall I'm delighted with the dress. Great for the bedroom, great for teasing, and hopefully your bloke should be unable to keep his hands off! ;-) x
