We were certainly aware of the fact you can buy vibrating cock rings with built in bullet-sized vibrators, but it remained something we'd never tried until we received this Desire Luxury Cock Ring from Lovehoney. It forms one half of the Desire Luxury Couples Kit and to be perfectly honest we had some doubts about whether it would suit us. But, I can very happily put those doubts to rest right now.

About half-way on the power level was good for us, leaving some good wiggle room for less or more according to preference. The quality is great too, silky smooth and a nice firm tip that transmits every movement and vibration in a really nice way.
Refer to our previous review for some comments about the charging cable. Not really a problem, but it's a little fiddly until you get used to it.
What we will say is that the control buttons are not its strongest point. Turning on and off for a steady vibration is fine, and using the plus and minus buttons you can turn the power up and down. As soon as you decide to try the alternate patterns, things get a little more complicated. The patterns are available at maximum power only. To switch into "pattern mode", hold down the plus button for a couple of seconds and then release it. The pattern activates as you release the button. Now you are in pattern mode, use the plus button (short press) to move through each pattern. Remember that you can't turn the power up and down in this mode, and to switch back to the "steady vibrate mode" give a long press on the minus button.
Having said all that, we actually found the steady vibrate pattern is the best for us, the movement of our bodies providing all the natural pattern we needed. Our advice would be do like we've been doing, and stick to the default steady vibrate and adjust the power level to suit yourselves. The controls on the Desire Clitoral Vibrator are better, and when you think about it, the whole concept of patterns probably makes a lot more sense on a toy that's mostly going to be held against you.
So, wrapping all this up, we are really wishing we tried vibrating cock rings before now. There's plenty of variety available, but it strikes me that this one, with its luxury feel and USB recharging, would have to be a very solid starting point.
Summary
This Desire Cock Ring is a brilliant toy, but as we've previously mentioned, definitely consider going for the complete Desire Luxury Couples Kit. It's much better value and you'll also have a really nice clitoral vibe to go with it.
